Everard, the dauntless king. Light of eyes and bright of mind, To all corners his gallant men he did fling. A certain element to himself he wished to bind- The sacred chalice, the elusive Holy Grail. While this his men ceased to behold, To deliver many luxuries they did not fail. From the rolling plain to the highest fold The kingdom of Everard did thrive. Many great cities and fortunes indeed were built While the Golden Age of Everard did survive. But all that blooms must someday wilt And the light of Everard, the dauntless king, began to fade. Never did he see the Holy Grail- but oh! Just look at the wonders he made!
